Other News:
One of our members, Carmela Martin, is having a show with her sister Barbara in the Beverly Farms Library, May 2 - 30, 2012.
"Carmela Martin and Barbara DiCaprio present an exhibit of their recent paintings in pastel and acrylic. The sisters share a love of painting and encourage each other in their artistic journeys. However, each has followed her own creative path. Barbara’s style focuses on strong color, pattern, and design in painting the still life and landscape pieces seen in her collection. Carmela’s landscapes present the beauty and serenity of the places that captivate her and invite the viewer on a journey of imagination and discovery".
All are invited to a reception with the artists on Thursday, May 17th, from 6-8:30pm at the Beverly Farms Library.
Last month was our second and final demo of the spring season and Carolyn Latanision had a full house in attendance. She demonstrated working wet on dry with watercolor and creating depth and layers of color in sky.
Our next event will be the summer show, hosted in the Gallery at Grosvenor Park, Salem, MA, July 8 - Augist 9, 2012.
